Are the T25 and T28 intake pipes the same design?
No, the T28 intake pipe will not work with the T25 turbo. However, the T25 intake may be able to be adapted to the T28 turbo after some modifications. We offer different intake designs for both turbos to reduce headaches.
I have a KA/CA engine with a T25 turbo. Will the T25 intake kit work for me?
Yes, the intakes we have designed rely on actual turbos and their (stock) inlets. Engine does not matter.
I have a similar turbo to the disco potato/GT2871r. Can you substitute the regular couplers to ones that will work for me?
Yes, we can substitute the couplers to accommodate the larger turbo inlet.
I already have a pipe and BOV flange. Can you weld it for me?
We do custom weld jobs for less than what you would pay at other specialty shops. If you are interested in any custom jobs, please contact us.
Why is there a small welded closing on the backside of my T25 intake?
This was only seen on our first version of T25 intakes. The T25 intakes (version 1) had a small bung welded on them originally for smog related purposes. Since most SR20DET users throw out the smog devices, these small (9mm) bungs are cut, welded shut, and pressure tested. Yes, there are people who have claimed that our intakes helped them pass smog, but we do not make any claims or guarantees that they will. Since December 2007, a 2nd version of T25 intakes have replaced version 1, which feature no hole welded shut. Version 1 will no longer be manufactured. |
